Microthene Commercial Leader
The Microthene Commercial Leader is responsible for driving strategic growth of Microthene specialty polyolefin powders across targeted industrial and consumer markets. This role focuses on identifying new applications, expanding into underserved geographies, and cultivating relationships with key customers in sectors such as polymer dusting, binders, and specialty composites. The Commercial Leader will serve as the subject matter expert for Microthene products and lead cross-functional initiatives to accelerate market penetration and innovation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Develop and execute a strategic growth roadmap for Microthene products, including identification of new applications, market gaps, competitive landscape, and emerging customer needs.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Technical teams to align on growth strategies and ensure successful execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at customer organizations, including formulators, converters, and OEMs.
- Use tools such as Salesforce and Accolade to manage opportunity pipelines and guide projects through the stage-gate process.
- Create and maintain key account plans for top customers and strategic prospects.
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing new Microthene grades and sustainable solutions tailored to market demands.
Education Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree required; preferred fields include Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemistry.MBA preferred but not required.Experience Requirements :
Minimum 10 15 years of relevant experience in commercial or technical roles within the polymer, chemical, or materials industries.Proven track record in business development, sales, or technical service, ideally related to specialty polymers or additives.Experience with molding, composites, coatings, or compounding markets is highly desirable.Willingness to travel up to 25% for customer engagement and internal collaboration.Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional initiatives.Technical understanding of polyolefin materials and their performance characteristics.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization with global teams.Location : Houston, TX, US, 77056
