Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our elementary school team in IL. The ideal candidate will support students in developing fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills that enhance their ability to access and participate in the educational environment. This role works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist and collaborates closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to promote student success.

Key Responsibilities :

• Implement individualized therapy plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Support students in building fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills within the classroom setting.
• Assist in the use of adaptive equipment and classroom modifications to improve participation.
• Collect and record data on student progress and communicate findings to the Occupational Therapist.
• Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to support student goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings, team collaborations, and professional development activities as requested.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to school and district guidelines.
