Must-Have : First-timers accepted, prefers seasoned traveler, must be able to work in all areas of Labor and Delivery

Description :

Labor and Delivery RN for Night shift.

Shifts available are 3x12 or 4x12 nights from 6 : 30 PM to 6 : 30 AM, plus 1-2 12-hour call shifts in an 8-week period.

Required experience is 2 years.

Weekend shifts are required every other weekend.

On-call shifts are required, with 2-3 shifts per 8-week schedule.

The traveler must be comfortable working in all areas of Labor and Delivery.

Supporting departments include IV Teams, Pharmacy, Phlebotomy, Physical Therapy, Radiology, and More.

The patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults.

The facility has 4 labor rooms, 2 triage rooms, 2 OR suites, 10 postpartum rooms, and 2 stabilization nursery beds.

Special equipment used includes infant warmers and Centrak infant security.

Qualities and skills necessary include circulating and triaging.

The facility follows AWHONN staffing guidelines for scheduling.

Travelers must meet standard quality and patient safety protocols.

References required prior to starting the assignment.

Candidate must also float within the facility or to nearby affiliate facilities based on skill set and census, if necessary.

RTO restrictions may apply.

Candidates must be willing to work during required holiday periods.

All documents must be completed in a timely manner to prevent delays.

The facility utilizes Cerner for charting.

Two professional references are required prior to starting.
