Distribution Center Manager – Salt Lake Flooring Distribution Center

Intermountain Wood Products is a wholesale hardwood distributor proudly serving the cabinetry, flooring, and woodworking industries. We’re looking for a hardworking, motivated individual to join our Salt Lake Flooring Distribution Center as a Distribution Center Manager.

What You’ll Do :
As the Manager, you’ll oversee daily operations and ensure smooth, efficient service across the distribution center. Your role will blend leadership, customer interaction, and hands-on warehouse support.
Key Responsibilities :
Operations & Inventory :
- Support daily distribution center operations including receiving, stocking, and inventory control.
- Conduct cycle counts and help resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Ordering inventory based on distribution needs
- Follow all company policies on safety, sales, and inventory management.
- Assist with picking and loading customer orders as needed.
Sales & Customer Relationships :
Partner with inside sales to build and maintain strong customer relationships.Provide excellent service by handling inquiries, pricing requests, and delivery scheduling.Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and ongoing support.Training & Development :
Complete orientation and safety training.Continue learning about our products, materials, and procedures.Help train and support team members to achieve operational goals.What We’re Looking For
Previous management, supervisory, or leadership experience preferred.Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Drive).Ability to learn product knowledge quickly and apply it effectively.Excellent communication and people skills .Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to work independently.Must pass pre-employment screening.Preferred Qualifications :
Minimum age of 18.Experience in a lumber yard, hardwoods, flooring, or woodworking environment.Previous B2B experience is a plus.Compensation & Benefits
