About

The Surplus Line Association of California (SLA) operates as a private, 501(c)(6) not-for-profit organization governed by a plan of operation approved by both the California Department of Insurance (CDI) and the SLA Board of Directors. The Association serves as the statutory surplus line advisory organization to the CDI and facilitates the states capacity to monitor and direct surplus line brokers placements of insurance with eligible surplus line insurers. Working with its members and the CDI, the Association assists its members compliance with California laws and regulations; helps maintain a healthy, fair, and competitive surplus line marketplace in California; and strives to protect the interests of California insurance consumers.

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and motivated individual to support our marketing team with daily tasks, including coordinating marketing projects, managing social media accounts, sending marketing emails, and implementing website updates. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and eager to grow in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and schedule posts on social media platforms.
• Deliver daily email newsletters to our members and stakeholders.
• Create and send marketing emails as requested.
• Assist with website updates as needed.
• Coordinate meetings, update marketing calendar, and provide administrative support to the marketing department.
• Special projects as assigned.
