Emergency Room Registered Nurse with Sign-on Bonus

Position Summary :

The skilled Registered Nurse in an emergency room setting is expected to perform independently while being aware of all relevant clinical aspects. You will deliver both routine and complex care, adapting to the complexities of each patient's needs. Your role will include the management of clinical situations, making appropriate assignments, and leading care teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

• Exceed expectations set by OneCHRISTUS Competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provide nursing care in alignment with ANA Scope and Standards, utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient histories, symptoms, and care provided.
• Evaluate learning needs and educate patients and families on health issues and available resources.

Qualifications :

All newly hired experienced RNs must complete New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire, be precepted by a trained staff member, and validate initial onboarding through competency assessments tailored to emergency department standards. Newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or other specific orientations that enhance clinical skills.

Completing all annual competency verification requirements is mandatory.
