About The Position

Job Title : Mammography Tech

Hours per Shift : 8 hours (08 : 00 - 16 : 30)

Experience : 1+ years preferred

License : SC state license required

Certifications : BLS; ARRT (M); SCRQSA (M)

Must-Have :

Must know how to operate Hologic Dimension equipment.

Current mammography certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) are mandatory.

Description :

This position requires performing a minimum of 20 screening mammograms per day.

The environment is a fast-paced outpatient facility that requires autonomy, effective teamwork, great communication, a positive attitude, and flexibility.

Daily caseload ranges from 30 to 50 mammograms.

Technologists will be compensated for time spent traveling to and from the work site.

If van assignments are not available, technologists will work at physical breast clinic locations.

Occasional Saturday work may be required, depending on operational needs.

The technologist must be willing to shift work hours if overtime is involved.

Floating to sister facilities may be required based on facility needs.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining detailed quality control records to meet inspection standards.

Scheduling regular equipment maintenance, completing workflows, and collaborating with team members and leadership is essential.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for effectively engaging with leadership, team members, departments, customers, and diverse patient populations.

This role requires a strong understanding of anatomical positioning, radiographic techniques, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.

The technologist must be capable of working independently, demonstrating initiative, critical thinking, and precise technical positioning.

This position involves collaborating with team members to uphold health and safety compliance while minimizing equipment downtime.

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, assignments may be affected.
