Physical Therapist – Adult Rehabilitation - Travel Position

Location : Oklahoma City, OK

Job Type : Travel Contract

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 5x8s Days

Pay : $2,675 / week

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join an adult rehabilitation setting in Oklahoma City, OK, on a travel contract. The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery, focusing on restoring function, improving mobility, and enhancing independence. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and experienced in adult rehabilitation within inpatient or outpatient environments.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to determine rehabilitation needs and therapy goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary staff.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions including exercise, gait training, balance activities, and mobility support.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapy objectives, safe mobility techniques, and home exercise programs.
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately and in compliance with facility standards.
  • Promote patient safety, independence, and quality of life through evidence-based therapy practices.

Qualifications :

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Oklahoma (or compact license).
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in adult rehabilitation.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support.
  • COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
  • Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach with experience supporting adult patient populations.
