Job Overview

A rural hospital in Portales, New Mexico is seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join their full-time team. This permanent night-shift position offers the opportunity to work in a close-knit community environment focused on compassionate, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct nursing care to patients presenting with emergent or acute medical needs.
  • Triage, assess, and monitor patient status while providing evidence-based interventions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to stabilize and treat emergency cases.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with facility protocols.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold patient safety standards.

    • Requirements

  • Active RN license in the state of New Mexico (or Compact state).
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical foundations considered.
  • Excellent critical-thinking skills and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

    • Additional Details Schedule : 6 : 00 p.m. – 6 : 00 a.m. night shifts. Position Type : Permanent, full-time. Environment : Small, community-based hospital with collaborative team culture. Permanent full-time ED RN opportunity | Nights, 6p–6a | Must hold active NM or Compact RN license and current BLS, ACLS, PALS | Ideal for nurses seeking a close-knit, rural hospital setting with strong teamwork culture.
