• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience\n
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification\n
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification\n
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification\n
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification\n
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification\nER Nurse Responsibilities\n
• Assess and triage patients' physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs in the emergency department\n
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans with the interdisciplinary healthcare team\n
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IV insertion, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection\n
• Advocate for patient safety and rights in all aspects of emergency care\n
• Educate patients and families, assessing learning readiness and evaluating teaching effectiveness\n
• Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care in accordance with nursing best practices\n
• Delegate tasks to clinical support staff per Colorado nursing regulations and hospital policy\n
• Mentor new staff, serve as a professional role model, and participate in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives\n
