Salary : Job Summary :

The gKids Pastor serves the Lead Pastor in overseeing and coordinating the gKids ministry at Generations Church. This full-time role ensures that the children of Generations Church encounter the gospel through engaging, age-appropriate environments, and that families are served with excellence and intentionality. The gKids Pastor reports to the Executive Pastor of Family Ministries while providing direct leadership and oversight to the Preschool Director, ensuring alignment with the overall vision and values of Generations Church.

Job Description

MINISTRY LEADERSHIP TEAM

  • Serve on the Ministry Leadership Team at a full-time level of staff leadership, assisting the Lead Pastor with vision execution.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to evaluate the health of the church and ensure Generations is honoring God, serving staff, and caring for attenders well.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to develop and implement strategies that help Generations Church grow and thrive.

gKids Ministry Leadership

  • Lead a dynamic, fun, and God-centered ministry for children from nursery through elementary.
  • Create and oversee age-appropriate environments utilizing curriculum, creative elements, and resources to teach biblical truths.
  • Provide regular opportunities for children to respond to salvation and take steps of spiritual growth.
  • Incorporate praise and worship in childrens ministry settings to prepare kids for seamless transition into Youth and Adult ministry environments.
  • Utilize social media and digital platforms to engage families and resource parents beyond Sunday mornings.
  • Partner with the Lead Pastor and other staff to connect themes across adult and childrens ministries.
  • Develop camps, retreats, and events that serve as easy invite opportunities and catalysts for discipleship.

    • gKids G-Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and release a G-TEAM of approved leaders to serve children and families.
  • Ensure all team members complete background checks and ongoing training.
  • Provide clear vision, encouragement, and accountability to volunteers.
  • Preschool Director Leadership
  • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and accountability to the Preschool Director.
  • Hold regular one-on-one meetings to stay connected to their personal and vocational life.
  • Ensure preschool ministry environments align with the overall gKids vision and Generations Church values.
  • Partner with the Preschool Director to set ministry goals, evaluate progress, and celebrate wins.
  • Support the Preschool Director with training, curriculum alignment, volunteer development, and parent engagement strategies.
  • Celebrate wins and affirm strong performance while addressing areas where expectations are not met.

    • General Church Responsibilities

  • Support and participate in church-wide ministry efforts and events.
  • Assist with planning and execution of special projects and major events.
  • Attend all worship services and church-wide gatherings unless prior approval is granted.
  • Attend required staff meetings, including monthly Staff Chapel.
  • Steward assigned ministry budgets with wisdom and accountability.
  • Willingly assist in other ministry tasks as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
