MIRK Inc., a reputable family-owned enterprise established in 1972, is currently seeking a qualified Mechanic to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various aerial devices and equipment utilized in the utility industry, including bucket trucks, diggers, and cranes. This role necessitates a strong commitment to ensuring the functionality and reliability of machinery, engines, and hydraulic systems. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in working with an array of tools and machinery while adhering to all safety protocols. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections on equipment, engines, and transmissions, along with conducting diagnostic tests to identify functionality issues.
- Execute repairs as needed.
- Troubleshoot reported problems and implement timely resolutions.
- Clean and apply lubricants to various machinery components.
- Conduct DOT annual inspections as required.
Requirements
Excellent communication skills.Strong problem-solving abilities.A high school diploma is preferred; certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is advantageous.Proven experience as a Mechanic.Demonstrated ability to maintain a solid attendance record.A robust background in hydraulics and electrical systems is preferred.Welding experience is a plus.A current CDL is preferred, but not required.Ability to routinely lift or carry up to 50 pounds.Benefits
