A large hospital system in Houston, TX is seeking a Hospital Auditor to join their Profee team. The Hospitalist Auditor is responsible for reviewing provider documentation for accuracy and compliance with coding and billing guidelines. This role ensures proper capture of professional fees and identifies opportunities for improvement. In addition to auditing, the auditor will provide targeted education to hospitalist providers to enhance documentation practices that impact billing, claims, and revenue integrity. This role is hybrid and does include going to the different hospitals around Houston to meet with the Hospitalist providers and go over the audit results and provide education on how they can improve documentation.

Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of recent experience auditing providers
Inpatient Profee Auditing experience
Profee coding background
CPC or COC Coding Certification from AAPC or CPMA certification
Knowledgeable of teaching physician guidelines and coding guidelines about split shared visits
Knowledge of coding compliance policies, official coding guidelines, regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures affecting the coding process
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with EPIC
