Position Summary

The Manager of Respiratory Care, in collaboration with the Technical Director, is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of all respiratory therapists across all shifts. This role helps maintain and enhance standards of care and ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality respiratory therapy services.

The Manager will also support the Medical Director in fulfilling departmental responsibilities. In the absence of the Technical Director, the Clinical Operations Manager assumes full operational oversight of the Respiratory Therapy Department.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising and coordinating daily activities of respiratory therapists across all shifts.
• Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical standards and best practices in respiratory care.
• Work collaboratively with the Technical Director and Medical Director to maintain regulatory compliance and ensure high standards of patient care.
• Oversee scheduling, staffing, and workflow processes to ensure adequate coverage and efficient departmental operations.
• Participate in performance evaluations, staff development initiatives, and competency assessments.
• Serve as a resource for clinical expertise, problem-solving, and escalation of critical issues.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, protocols, and safety standards.
• Assist in quality improvement initiatives, audits, documentation review, and accreditation requirements.

Maintain operational continuity of the Respiratory Therapy Department during the Technical Director's absence
