PARAMEDIC

Flushing Hospital Medical Center is a 293-bed, not-for-profit teaching hospital. The hospital offers a variety of services for a culturally diverse community, including Bariatric Surgical Service, Ambulatory Care Center, Women's Health Center, Wound Care Center, and Chemical Dependence Unit. Our busy on-site full-service pharmacy provides prescription services to discharged, emergency department, and clinic patients as well as employees.The Department of Pre-Hospital Care at Flushing Hospital Medical Center is seeking experienced Paramedics

DUTIES :

• Performing first-aid as well as basic life support medical treatment in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Dispensing oral and intravenous medication as needed.
• Interpretes and monitors electrocardiograms and other complex equipment
• Obtaining and recording medical information to complete patient care documents.
• Operating emergency vehicles to safely and efficiently transport accident, injured, and or sick individuals.
• Performing daily vehicle and DOH compliance inspections
• Maintaining and ensuring ambulance supply inventory
