Job Title : Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Job Description

A Commercial HVAC Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial settings such as offices, retail stores, and other business establishments. The role involves working with blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot and maintain preexisting HVAC units.

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect and test HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
• Identify and troubleshoot any malfunctions in HVAC systems.
• Repair or replace faulty parts in HVAC systems.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure HVAC systems are energy efficient and comply with safety and environmental standards.

Work Environment

The company expects a lot from their employees, giving them freedom and responsibility. Employees drive themselves to job sites within 30 miles of the headquarters in Rochester, NY. Projects vary in size depending on the client and location, with typical hours from 7 AM - 3 : 30 PM, including a 1 / 2 hour lunch. Service Techs will use ladders, cranes, lifts, refrigerants, trade tools, and testing equipment. They will be on call for 24 hours for one week every 5-6 weeks, earning a $100 bonus for each on-call week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr.
