We are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Service Director to lead our social services department. The ideal candidate will develop and oversee programs that support the emotional, social, and psychological well-being of our residents / clients. They will ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations while advocating for those in need.

The Social Services Director will direct and supervise social service programs, evaluate the social needs of each resident admitted and formulate a written plan of care; review and revise plan as necessary, but not often than quarterly; refer residents and families to appropriate community resources as necessary
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement social service programs that meet the needs of residents / clients.Provide counseling, support, and advocacy for individuals and families.Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to enhance holistic care.Ensure compliance with state, federal, and industry regulations.Maintain accurate documentation and reports on services provided.Establish relationships with community agencies and resources.Train and supervise social work staff (if applicable).Qualifications :
One year of supervised social work experience working directly with residents in a health-care setting.Bachelor’s degree in social work or in the human resource field, including, but not limited to, Sociology, special education, rehabilitative counseling, and psychology.Must be able to relate to and work with physically and / or mentally ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility and treat them with respect and consideration regardless of their cognitive or functional levelStrong knowledge of social work principles, ethics, and regulations.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.Willing to work beyond normal working hours, weekends, holidays, and / or on other shifts and in other positions, when necessaryMust be knowledgeable of nursing / medical practices and procedures, and / or terminology, laws, regulations, and the guidelines that pertain to long-term careSufficient computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and / or Internet to perform required dutiesAbility to exercise discretion and independent judgment, and reach logical, practical decisionsIf you are passionate about helping others and making a difference in residents’ lives, we’d love to hear from you!
