WATER PLANT OPERATOR

CITY OF LAFAYETTE, ALABAMA

The City of LaFayette, Alabama is searching for a Grade IV full-time or a part-time water plant operator to work at the LaFayette Water Plant. The LaFayette Water Treatment Plant is a surface water plant operating 16 hours a day serving LaFayette and surrounding areas. The capacity of the plant is 1.2 million gallons a day, with the overage production being between 700,000 and 1.1 MGD.

The successful candidates must possess an Alabama Driver's License, Grade IV Alabama Certification in water treatment from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management, and experience in surface water treatment.

Successful candidates will be required to pass a physical exam, drug screen, and a criminal background check.
