Job Summary
This is a balanced estimating and procurement role designed for a detail-driven construction professional with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. The Estimator / Procurement Specialist will develop cost estimates, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate material deliveries to support multiple active bridge projects.
The position is based at Bridge Masters' Redmond, OR headquarters and works closely with project managers, engineers, and the field team to ensure accuracy from bid to build.
The ideal candidate is methodical yet adaptable, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and proactive in solving problems before they impact schedule or budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings, plans, and bid documents to prepare detailed material takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop competitive bids and ensure proposal accuracy.
- Solicit vendor and subcontractor quotes; analyze pricing, availability, and lead times.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders; manage procurement schedules and delivery tracking.
- Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms where possible.
- Support project setup by forecasting material needs and coordinating shipments to job sites.
- Track materials from order through delivery; maintain organized records for accounting and project closeout.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in estimating templates, procurement workflows, and vendor databases.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimating, procurement, or materials management.Experience in sewer, water, power, telecommunication , utility projects.Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and plan sets.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.High proficiency in Microsoft Excel ; familiarity with Bluebeam Procore , or similar software preferred.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proven track record of accuracy, accountability, and proactive coordination.Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing cost models and quantity takeoffs for infrastructure or bridge projects.Working knowledge of construction materials, fabrication, and supplier networks.Familiarity with RFI / submittal workflows and project closeout documentation.Compensation & Benefits
