Route Driver

NPW is seeking a reliable and experienced Night Route Driver with current DOT qualifications to join our team. In this role, you'll ensure our customers receive their orders safely and on time while representing NPW with professionalism and excellent service.

Responsibilities :

Drive safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries to customers while adhering to all traffic laws.

Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Possess or obtain a current DOT medical card (required).

Pass annual and periodic MVR checks to ensure ongoing compliance.

Maintain accurate electronic logs and comply with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is roadworthy.

Load and unload deliveries independently, ensuring that products are handled carefully to avoid damage and are delivered in an organized manner.

Secure all loads before driving to prevent shifting during transport.

Confirm the correct items and quantities are loaded based on delivery orders.

Use proper lifting techniques and equipment (like pallet jacks or forklifts) when needed.

Accurately document the condition of the items being delivered, ensuring nothing is missed.

Unload products at each stop according to the customer's specific requirements (may include dropping off boxes, pallets, or individual items).

Ensure the safe transport of goods by operating a 26 ft. box truck safely and efficiently.

Ensure punctuality and consistent attendance to maintain route schedules.

Be proactive about maintaining an organized truck and ensuring it is ready for the next day's deliveries.

Follow all safety protocols during loading, unloading, and driving.

Forklift experience is a plus (but not required).

Physical Demands :

Must regularly lift and / or move up to fifty (50) pounds unassisted.

Must frequently lift and / or move up to 100 pounds assisted.

While performing the duties of this job, the driver is regularly required to read, stand, walk, bend at waist and knees, use hands, and reach with arms.
