How You Will Make an Impact
Manage relationships with ocean carriers, drayage providers, and other logistics partners.Lead carrier contract negotiations, ensuring competitive rates and service-level commitments.Monitor and enforce KPIs for carrier and drayage performance.Provide operational guidance to ensure containers move efficiently across lanes.Partner with sales and pricing teams to supply market intelligence and strategic input.Support and develop a team, including offshore resources.Do You Bring Proven Success in Ocean Freight and Carrier Management?
5–7+ years of ocean freight operations experience, including direct carrier management.Demonstrated success in contract negotiation and carrier relationship ownership.Experience leading and mentoring teams (domestic or offshore).Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics (required).Knowledge of drayage procurement and management (preferred).Familiarity with Jones Act trade lanes and BCO relationships (preferred).Strong analytical and communication skills, with proficiency in TMS and freight management tools.
