- Standards of Practice : Utilize the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to deliver competent care.\n

- Professional Performance : Engage in professional development by adhering to ethical guidelines, practicing culturally competent care, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation : Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Current BCLS certification is mandatory within the first month of hire.\n\nExperience : All RNs are encouraged to pursue opportunities for advancement through the SPIRE clinical program.\n\nLicensure : Valid and active RN license in the State of Connecticut is required. Clinical specialty certification is highly encouraged.\n\nPhysical Demands : This role involves prolonged standing and walking, with physical demands that may include lifting and assisting patients weighing from 5 to 300 pounds. Be prepared for potential exposure to infectious diseases and the emotional challenges that come with patient care.\n\nNote : This position is unionized under the Connecticut Healthcare Associates Collective Bargaining Agreement.
