Overview

Sparkman Family Medicine is seeking a dedicated full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients with complex medical and behavioral needs at Nexus Childrens Hospital in Houston. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Pediatric, Family Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Psychiatry specialists, to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care in a supportive environment focused on long-term recovery and quality of life improvement.

Patient Population

Nexus Childrens Hospital caters to children and adolescents with complex medical, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Key programs include :

• Nexus NEW DIRECTIONS Program : A medical-behavioral program treating young people with medical conditions alongside severe intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDDs), such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. The program promotes medical regulation, reduces behavioral dysregulation, teaches social and behavioral skills, and equips caregivers with tools for ongoing support at home, school, and in the community. This multidisciplinary approach is unique and not offered by other programs.
