E3 topics include electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), interference (EMI), pulse (EMP) and vulnerability (EMV).  The candidate will work under an E3 subject matter expert and help provide technical expertise in the analysis, mitigation, and management of electromagnetic interference for the ship design. This role is responsible for ensuring that shipboard systems meet EMC requirements, while using test and analysis techniques to solve complex EMI challenges.

Develop processes to minimize top-side EMI capable of disrupting communication systems, navigation equipment and other critical electronic systems.

Brief Navy stakeholders and interdisciplinary teams on technical specifications, analysis, calculations, and design recommendations to ensure compliance with EMI standards and requirements.

Assist with tailoring future EMI, shielding effectiveness and EMP threat protection requirements.

Review MIL-STD-461 Test Procedures / Waivers / Reports and witness EMI qualification testing.

Identify electrical design deficiencies and develop recommendations for solutions.

At Leidos, we don’t want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better. This is a role for the restless, the over-caffeinated, the ones who ask, “what’s next?” before the dust settles on “what’s now.”

If you’re already scheming step 20 while everyone else is still debating step 2… good. You’ll fit right in.

Original Posting : October 29, 2025

For U.S. Positions : While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.
