The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is a key frontline role representing a leading diagnostic services provider. The PSR II performs high-quality phlebotomy and specimen processing while ensuring accuracy, patient comfort, and compliance with laboratory and safety standards. This position requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection duties accurately and efficiently under supervision.Maintain a safe and professional environment for patients and coworkers.Verify patient identification, ensuring samples are labeled correctly in their presence.Maintain proper records, documentation, and data entry in compliance with established procedures.Demonstrate organizational commitment and uphold the company's positive image to patients, clients, and the public.Work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as required.Support multiple locations as needed, maintaining reliable transportation and punctuality.Required Experience :
Three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center or hospital laboratory environment preferred.Customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment preferred.Keyboard / data entry proficiency required.Nice-to-Have Experience :
Prior experience in a hospital setting or with night shift coverage .Exposure to Lab Management systems or high-volume testing environments.Additional training or certification in medical assisting or paramedic studies.Required Skills :
Excellent phlebotomy and specimen processing techniques.Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Strong commitment to accuracy, safety, and patient confidentiality .Preferred Skills :
Phlebotomy training or certification (preferred in Maryland).Ability to adapt to changing schedules and work across multiple sites.Superior customer focus and teamwork skills.Additional Skills :
Independent decision-making within established procedures.Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel when needed.Shift / Hours :
Night Shift - 10 : 00 p.m. - 6 : 30 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time)
