Job Summary :

The Design Specialist I is a senior-level role responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating complex digital design models and documentation for architectural and engineering projects. This role involves working independently on advanced design tasks, leading multi-disciplinary coordination, and ensuring that project documentation meets high standards of quality and compliance. The CAD / BIM Designer III also supports junior designers, offering technical guidance and expertise in CAD / BIM processes to enhance project outcomes.

Primary Essential Functions :

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD / BIM models for complex projects, producing construction documents, layouts, sections, and elevations in alignment with project specifications and standards.
• Lead design coordination with multi-disciplinary teams, including architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines, to integrate various models into a cohesive project model.
• Review and ensure quality control of all CAD / BIM deliverables, conducting checks for accuracy, compliance with project standards, and consistency across design documentation.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to understand project requirements, resolve design issues, and implement necessary adjustments in the models.
• Mentor and provide technical support to junior CAD / BIM designers, guiding them on best practices, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring adherence to CAD / BIM standards.
• Maintain and manage project files, ensuring all drawings, models, and associated documentation are organized, up-to-date, and accessible to project stakeholders.
• Develop and implement CAD / BIM standards and protocols, establishing workflows that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across projects.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex software issues, conducting advanced modeling tasks, and identifying process improvements for CAD / BIM workflows.
• Prepare presentations, visualizations, and 3D renderings as needed for client presentations, ensuring that visual materials effectively communicate the design intent.
