The Role
We are seeking a Facilities Technician to join our Maintenance Department. The Facility Technician will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of a facility, conducting routine and scheduled maintenance tasks, and addressing unexpected breakdowns and damages in the building.
Responsibilities & TASKS ( Duties include but are not limited to)
- Perform regular inspections of facilities to identify and resolve issues
- Plan and schedule repairs and maintenance tasks
- Conduct minor and major repairs on building structures and systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Maintain groundskeeping including cutting grass, weed eating, snow removal, etc.
- Monitor and manage heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for optimal performance
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
- Coordinate with contractors to request quotes and communicate details for repairs that needs to be completed
- Respond to urgent maintenance calls and emergencies ensuring that issues are resolved promptly
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
- Diagnose problems and replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
- Participate in the development and implementation of safety awareness programs
- Coordinate and communicate with other departmental staff regarding facility operations and maintenance issues
- Document all installation, repair, and maintenance activities
- Perform general cleaning and upkeep of the facility as needed
Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in maintenance or a related field is preferred.Previous experience in facility maintenance or a similar role is advantageous.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a teamExperience in manufacturing preferred
