On-Site Leadership :
Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Provide guidance and direction to crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Interpret project plans and specifications, ensuring accurate implementation. Proactively identify and resolve on-site issues, maintaining efficient workflow. Maintain accurate and detailed project records, including daily logs, time sheets, and material usage reports including utilizing software programs to record relevant information.
Miscellaneous Construction Equipment Operation :
Safely and efficiently operate a variety of construction equipment, including skid-loaders, track hoes, farm tractors, backhoes, loaders, and other relevant machinery. Conduct thorough daily inspections and perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition. Adhere to all safety protocols, including OSHA guidelines, and maintain a safe work environment.
Class A CDL Driving :
Operate Class A CDL vehicles, including duly trucks weighing over 26000 pounds, pulling a gooseneck trailer on public highways and construction job sites. Transport diverse construction materials such as, erosion control, seeding materials, and heavy equipment to and from job sites. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. Properly secure loads and maintain accurate records of deliveries and inspections.
Travel Requirements :
Work primarily on local and statewide projects within Kansas. Occasionally travel to projects in surrounding states (up to six states), requiring overnight stays and weekends when necessary. Must be willing to travel, and understand that travel is a requirement of the job.
