JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Department: Medical Oncology

Shift Timings: 07:00- 19:00 Hours Monday to Friday 3 days 12 hours shift

Per Week: 36 Hours

44 bed medical oncology/hematology unit, 1:5 ratio, chemo administration, hospice care, hemophilia, SCC, medical overflow. Opportunity for chemo administration if applicant has ONS chemo certification.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BLS and ACLS
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Requires a minimum of two years of current Med/Surg Oncology RN experience.
• Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
• Active unencumbered RN Indiana license
• One year of Epic experience

Requirements
• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
