MLS Soccer league is hiring: Director, Broadcast Graphic Design in Stamford

Overview

As a Director, Broadcast Graphic Design, you will be responsible for managing MLS Productions broadcast graphics projects with IMG, AE Live and Apple. As well as helping maintain and enforce MLS and MLS Season Pass brand guides, offer art direction third-party graphic designers, and creating images or motion graphics in studio shows on your own. The Director, Broadcast Graphic Design also must help manage matchday operations.

Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for creating broadcast graphics solutions; including creating images or motion graphics solutions for MLS Productions shows.
• Create and maintain project plans for broadcast graphics with IMG, AE Live, and Apple.
• Create meeting agendas and run meetings with IMG, AE Live, and Apple.
• Offer art direction for images and motion graphics airing in MLS Productions shows.
• Assist with matchday broadcast graphics operations on select midweek evenings and weekends.

Additional Responsibilities

• Help art direct virtual studio designs.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 8 or more years of experience in design and motion graphics.

Required Skills

• Experience using motion graphics production tools.
• Ability to create project plans and write project updates to executive stakeholders.
• Ability to review and edit broadcast graphic deliverables.
• High-level of commitment to a quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
• Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Knowledge of the Spanish Language (business proficiency)
• Ability to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Major League Soccer offers a competitive starting base salary of $115,000 - $130,000, based on individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
