• C ost Analysis : Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting cost data related to raw materials, labor, manufacturing overhead, and inventory. Analyzing profitability and cost structures for products and services.
• Cost Reporting : Preparing reports that compare standard costs to actual production costs and identifying variances.
• Budgeting and Forecasting : Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, particularly those related to production and operational costs.
• Inventory Management : Monitoring and tracking inventory transactions, reconciliations, valuations, and reporting. Assisting with physical inventory counts and audits.
• Cost Control and Optimization : Identifying opportunities for cost savings and recommending strategies for improvement. Working with production and operations teams to implement cost control measures.
• System Maintenance and Compliance : Developing and maintaining cost accounting systems, records, and documentation. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards like Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Support and Collaboration : Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes. Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting and providing financial insights to management.
