Job descriptionMinimum 2 years of mortgage origination experience (or equivalent prior staff role). Knowledge of credit and home lending requirements. Excellent client listening, communication and service skills. Critical thinker who can analyze financial and credit data. Strong written and verbal communication; customer service orientation. Works effectively in a collaborative team environment. Adaptable to changing circumstances and learning new technology. Committed to regulatory due diligence and compliance with federal and state policies. Experience in a retail loan origination role with exceeded goals. Knowledge of conventional, jumbo, HELOC and government mortgage products. Understanding of underwriting, closing procedures and FHA / HUD guidelines. Strong computer skills and prior experience with laptop technology. Job Overview
Primary lending specialist within the financial center. Originates residential mortgage loans and offers a full range of banking products. Balances sales performance, operational risk, and client relationship care.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivers First Mortgage and HELOC lending products in person or by telephone.
- Provides Auto Loans, Credit Cards and Core Banking products.
- Builds and deepens client relationships through personalized service and outreach.
- Analyzes client financial needs and recommends products that align with priorities.
- Submits mortgage applications, gathers supporting documentation and keeps clients informed throughout the process.
- Responds to client requests and refers to internal partners as needed.
- Coaches financial center associates to deliver an exceptional client experience.
