Customer Service Representative
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to become a part of our family-oriented team. You will be assisting HR with a variety of daily, weekly, and monthly clerical duties. This first shift position works from 7 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Customer Service Duties and Responsibilities :
Confer with customers by telephone, fax, email or in person to provide information about products and pricing, take orders, cancel accounts as well as obtain details of complaints. Support sales representatives through management of customer orders from inception to delivery. Enter customer information, new part numbers, customer orders and customer special terms into the computer system, verify information is correct. Maintain working knowledge of all company products, services and promotions. Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints or comments, as well as action taken. Expedite orders, check status of stock and sales orders, process order changes, address inquiries, suggest material alternatives and process customer returns. Collaborate with marketing, project coordinator and sales representatives to exceed customer requirements and proactively eliminate errors and inefficiencies. Determine charges for services requested, collect payments or arrange for billing. Provide customers with tracking numbers, order status and invoice copies. Confer with customers by telephone or in person to provide information about products or services, take or enter orders, cancel accounts, or obtain details of complaints. Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken. Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers' problems. Complete contract forms, prepare change of address records, or issue service discontinuance orders, using computers. Resolve customers' service or billing complaints by performing activities such as exchanging merchandise, refunding money, or adjusting bills.
Other Experience and Qualifications :
Must have strong interpersonal, analytical, reasoning,and project management skills. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), SAP and ERP software, and internet navigation. Mathematical aptitude to compute prices and write quotes using measurements and fractions. High School Diploma / GED required 1-3 years of order management or customer service experience preferred Experience in the construction / manufacturing / distribution fields preferred
