Job description

About the Role

We are working with a non-profit organization seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Attorney to join Legal & Compliance team for an estimated 6 to 9-month assignment, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role . This role is ideal for a licensed California attorney with strong contract experience and a collaborative mindset. You'll support a wide range of legal functions, from contract review to legal research and corporate filings.

This role will be fully on-site at the company's campus in Culver City.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and review a variety of agreements including vendor, consulting, hotel, lease, NDA, MOU, and purchase orders.
  • Participate in contract negotiations as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memos on topics such as real estate, labor and employment, corporate, and IP law.
  • Prepare or review subpoena responses, insurance applications, corporate filings, and board resolutions.
  • Support special projects and other legal duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active member of the California Bar
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
  • At least 2 years of contract drafting and review experience required.
  • 1+ year of in-house counsel experience preferred.
