ICU Travel Nurse Job Details

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2100-$2250

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 15 / 2025, End : 3 / 14 / 2026)

Healthcare Setting : 10-bed Critical Care Unit

Nursing Shift : 12-hour days (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Employment Type : Travel RN, On-Site

Location : Auburn, NY 13021 (New York ICU nursing jobs)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in New York State

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

AHA NIHSS certification and 6 CEUs on Stroke-related topics (completed before start date)

Travel nursing experience preferred

Charge nurse experience preferred

Willingness to float to Medical-Surgical units as needed

Proctored EKG exam required on Day 1

COVID vaccine not required (proof or declination accepted); Flu vaccine or declination required

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to patients in a 1 : 2 RN : patient ratio

Manage ventilators, drips, arterial lines, and central lines

Respond to medical codes and emergencies

Document patient care using Allscripts, Paragon, or McKesson EMR systems

Provide leadership as charge nurse when assigned

Float to Medical-Surgical units as required

Participate in ongoing education and maintain all required nursing certifications
