• Position Summary :
• The Los Angeles Collection Associate is responsible for managing and collecting receivables for assigned accounts, promptly notifying management and vendors of any disputes or chargebacks. The ideal candidate will build positive relationships with customers, delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring efficient collections processes.
• Key Responsibilities :
• Monitor and execute collection calls and emails according to weekly collection reports.
• Record and track disputes, credits, and chargebacks accurately and timely within our internal systems.
• Follow up weekly with customers regarding unpaid invoices and facilitate dispute resolutions.
• Alert management to unusual debtor or vendor activities and customers experiencing financial difficulties.
• Assist in special collection projects as requested.
• Support team members during peak periods or when short-staffed.
• Participate actively in monthly collection meetings and collaborate closely with management on challenging accounts.
• Qualifications :
• 1-3 years of experience in collections and managing accounts receivable balances.
• Strong follow-up and communication skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Team-oriented mindset and excellent customer service abilities.
• Basic knowledge of accounts receivable, billing processes, and payment applications.
• Interest in developing expertise within the factoring industry, including understanding the differences between eligible / ineligible accounts, disputes, and adjustments.
