Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring MA licensure and expertise in neuro, ortho trauma, and kidney transplant surgeries.
Responsibilities
Work in the OR West unit within a hospital setting focused on inpatient Level I Trauma Surgery10 operating rooms handling diverse surgical procedures including bariatric, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic trauma, spine, major plastic reconstruction, robotic surgery, and kidney and liver transplantsDay shift, 10-hour shifts from 7 : 00 am to 5 : 30 pm, 40 hours per weekUp to 2 weekends per month required which may include shifts or call (7a-7p or 7p-7a on Sat / Sun / holidays)30-minute on-call response time requiredShort call shift once a week (either 3 : 00 am–7 : 00 am or 5 : 00 pm–9 : 00 pm)May float to East or CVI OR unitsEligible to work any holidays while on contractResponsibilities include scrubbing and circulating on a wide variety of complex surgical proceduresWork as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team with a focus on Level I TraumaWeekly orientation available every Monday, except on holidaysRTO (requested time off) must be approved in advanceHoliday and weekend staffing is required as part of the scheduleParking availability is limited and may cost up to $43 per dayRequirements
Active MA RN license in hand requiredExperience in neuro, orthopedic trauma, and kidney transplant surgeries requiredAbility to scrub and / or circulate general surgery, robotics, transplants, ortho, neuro, spine, ENT (primarily head & neck), GYN, urology, organ procurement, and trauma casesLevel I trauma OR experience preferredCOVID vaccine and booster, and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local candidates)Must not have worked at the health system in any capacity within the last 6 monthsBenefits
