Facilities Carpenter
The Facilities Carpenter will be responsible for a variety of tasks on the project site. Duties include constructing decking around trailers and using print plans to accurately measure and cut wood planks. The role also requires the ability to cut and install staircases as needed, as well as frame and build sheds for on-site storage. Carpentry work may extend to roofing, such as laying shingles on sheds, and the carpenter will also construct wooden signage to be placed around the property for location identification, including gate markers and directional signs.
Job Responsibilities :
- Carpenter will be handling multiple different tasks.
- Building Decking around trailers, knowledge to read off prints to measure and cut wood planks.
- Be able to cut and install wood stairs leading up to trailers.
- It could be tasked with framing and building a shed on site if needed for storage.
- Some roofing work laying shingles on the shed's.
- Responsible for building the signage that will go around the property (Wooden signage that would basically signal where gates are).
Requirements :
Previous carpentry experienceWood framing experience is a must have.Ability to read a tape measure and do basic math.Willing to submit to drug test (including THC)Willing to submit to a Motor Vehicle Record Check (Valid drivers license and clean driving record)Work Environment :
Large civil construction site.It will be either dry or wet and hot in summer and cold and wet in the fall and winter.Laborers will need to be prepared to wear muck boots and work in the mud.This is a dirty job and requires a good attitude and determination to complete the task despite the adverse conditions.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
