Position Overview :
As the Director of Clinical Services, you will be a key leader within our organization, responsible for overseeing and optimizing the clinical operations across all our senior living communities within the Cornerstone portfolio of communities. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of care delivery, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. This position is not assigned to a specific senior housing community and is housed in the Cornerstone corporate office. Travel to Cornerstone communities is required as needed or requested by the Chief Operating Officer.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute strategies to enhance clinical operations, aligning them with the company's overall objectives and mission.
Team Management : Lead and mentor a team of clinical professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Quality Assurance : Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in senior care.
Operational Efficiency : Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency while maintaining the highest level of resident care and satisfaction.
Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including facility administrators, finance, and human resources, to achieve integrated and coordinated operations.
Training and Development : Design and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of clinical staff, promoting professional growth and adherence to best practices.
Risk Management : Proactively identify potential risks in clinical operations and develop mitigation strategies to address them effectively.
Performance Metrics : Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and success of clinical operations.
Qualifications :
Education : A Master's degree in Nursing is preferred, but relevant experience is acceptable.
A valid RN license is required.
Experience : Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive leadership experience in clinical operations within the senior housing or healthcare industry.
Regulatory Knowledge Strong understanding of state and federal regulations governing senior living communities and healthcare services.
Leadership Skills : Proven track record of effective leadership, team building, and strategic planning.
Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
Abilities :
Vast knowledge and understanding of state and federal regulations.
Up to date on Licensure requirements.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Ability research for solutions.
Ability to exercise good judgment on highly sensitive and confidential matters.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction, strong written / verbal communication skills, good grammar, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Physical Requirements :
Stand or sit for long periods of time.
Able to sit and look at a computer screen for extended periods of time.
Occasionally lift / or move up to 15 pounds
