Overview

Helio Health is seeking experienced Licensed Mental Health / SUD Counselors for our Intensive Crisis Stabilization Center ( ICSC) in Syracuse, NY. The Licensed Counselor / Therapist will provide urgent response and / or treatment services to patients experiencing an acute mental health and / or substance use crisis.

The ICSC operates on a 24 / 7 basis providing and has an opening for an overnight Clinician to work Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7pm-7 : 30am.

We are offering extremely competitive starting wages! Counselors are eligible to participate in Loan Forgiveness Programs and are eligible for Overtime & Shift Differential Pay! Additionally, all Full-Time Counselors are eligible for a Sign-On Incentive between $4,000 and $8,000 depending upon licensure!

Pay Rate : $28.00 / hr. to $34.00 / hr.

Responsibilities

Maintain a case load of individuals seeking treatment with a variety of behavioral healthcare needs.

• Perform essential counseling / therapist responsibilities including screening, intake and assessment, evaluation and intervention, treatment planning, discharge planning, referrals, crisis intervention, and psychoeducation.
• Exhibit exemplary knowledge of the biopsychosocial process of substance use, addiction, behavioral health, self-help group processes, and principles of counseling.
• Provide evidenced-based counseling.
• Be a change agent for the community by providing person-centered, strengths-based, harm reduction services.
• Maintain case records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Assist with the training of staff and student interns as assigned.
• Relate effectively with individuals served, Helio staff and the community while upholding appropriate standards of confidentiality.
