Public Health Nursing Manager
The Public Health Nursing Manager for the Immunization Program in clinical services, oversees compliance with state and federal regulations, manages vaccine inventory and data reporting, and drives initiatives to increase vaccination coverage, and reduce preventable diseases.

Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in nursing, public health, business or public administration, or other related field as determined by the department head at the time of recruitment, AND two years of experience in a clinical supervising role, that include financial responsibility, compliance and accreditation and clinical risk analysis, AND a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Arizona.
OR : Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in nursing, and four years of experience in a clinical supervising role, including financial responsibility, compliance and accreditation and clinical risk analysis, AND a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Arizona.

Selection Procedure : Pima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications. All applications will be assessed based on an evaluation of the listed education and experience. Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications may be further evaluated / scored against any advertised Preferred Qualifications. The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human Resources. Additional assessments / testing may be required as part of the selection process.

Valid driver license is required at time of application. Valid AZ driver license is required at time of appointment. The successful applicant will be subject to a 39-month DOT Motor Vehicle Record review to determine applicants suitability to operate county vehicles in accordance with Pima County administrative procedures. Failure to obtain and maintain the required licenses and certifications shall be grounds for termination. All positions require possession of a current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Arizona. All positions require Basic life support (BLS) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CRP) certification. Failure to obtain / maintain the required licensure shall be grounds for termination. The County requires pre-employment background checks. Successful candidates will receive a post-offer, pre-employment background screening to include verification of work history, education, and criminal conviction history. A prior criminal conviction will not automatically disqualify a candidate from employment with the County. The County may have a high risk of exposure to blood borne pathogens. Hepatitis B vaccine will be provided. Some positions within this classification may require a current Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) Clearance Card in order to work with vulnerable adults and children at the time of application. The DPS Clearance Card may be required as a condition of continued employment. In positions requiring a DPS Clearance Card, failure to maintain a current DPS Clearance Card shall be grounds for termination.
Physical / Sensory Requirements : Frequently operations a computer and other office equipment in a clinic and office setting. Constantly observes details at close range. Frequently moves about inside an office and / or clinic setting. Frequently participates in external events within the community, including mobile sites and home care visits. May occasionally sit on the floor or crouch if working in a home care environment.
