Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Position serves as a member of the medication team that assists clients with mental health and substance use diagnoses and provides support with the Clinical Administration Assistant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :

Completes vital signs, AIMS, and metabolic screening on clients as needed. Documents updates to client information in the Electronic Medical Record.

Assists in coordination of medication resources for consumers.

Assists in UDS screenings

Helps the Clinical Administration Assistant with medication sample inventory and report discrepancies per agency policy.

Distributes and emails as necessary faxes that are received through Biscom.

Coordinates with pharmaceutical representatives for scheduling meetings.

Coordinates department supply inventory and ensure supplies are adequate with need.

Completes pre-authorizations with insurance companies under the guidance of the nurse.

Maintains knowledge of agency technology programs and / or systems needed to do the job and use them effectively.

Assists in planning and coordinating projects and offers solutions for problem resolution when possible.

Assists the scheduling coordinator with Televox notifications.

Completes Level I Medication Aide certification and maintains certification.

Assists in administration of Narcan if needed

Provides phone outreach with identified clients who have not been engaging in services.

Other duties and / or responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

Education / Certifications

High school diploma required

CPR / First Aid Certification

Level I Medication Aide certified, or the ability to be certified post-employment, required.

Pre-employment 2-step TB test required

Experience Required :

1 - 3 years of related experience or related experience

Required Knowledge :

Basic computer knowledge / skills with experience in Microsoft Office products; good concentration with attention to detail; the ability to maintain confidentiality; the flexibility to manage a variable workload; and the ability to interact with the Agency's customers in a professional and courteous manner.

Skills / Abilities :

The ability to use basic business equipment.

Ability to work in Electronic Medical Record

Good Organization skills

Excellent Communication skills : in person, on phone; by email.

Ability to complete level one medication aid training every two years

Ability to complete CPR certification every two years
