The Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health, in partnership with Stanford Medicine and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, unlocks philanthropy to transform health for children and families in Northern California - and around the world. Through fundraising and grantmaking, the Foundation drives scientific research, innovation, and policy change that will improve care, advance cures, and reform healthcare systems for this and future generations.
MAIN FOCUS : Serving as a key partner to senior communications leaders, this role combines executive support, project management, and content operations to advance the Foundation’s strategic storytelling and organizational effectiveness.
LOCATION : Hybrid Position – the candidate will work an average of eight (8) days per month in our Palo Alto, CA office; the successful candidate will be based in the Bay Area.
WHAT YOU'LL DO...
In this role, you’ll provide high-level support to the Senior Vice President and Assistant Vice President of Strategic Communications, ensuring seamless coordination across executive priorities and departmental projects. You’ll manage complex schedules, meetings, and communications, while also driving key content and digital initiatives—from project managing the Foundation’s gift acknowledgment program to maintaining internal communication systems and resources. Your work will help keep the Strategic Communications team organized, connected, and delivering impactful storytelling that advances the Foundation’s mission.
This is a temporary, full-time position lasting approximately seven months, from February through September 2026. The role reports to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Communications, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Assistant Vice President, Strategic Communications and Senior Director of Content & Digital.
The compensation range for this role is $45.67-$50.48 per hour.

Ability to take initiative and ownership over sometimes ambiguous tasks, multiple shifting priorities, and situations with little oversight.
Ability to exercise excellent communication skills with ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Awareness of moving parts and balance several tasks at once and can easily pivot as priorities change.
Ability to communicate with minimal guidance on behalf of the SVP; ability to ensure timely communications.
