Water Resources / Drainage Engineer

Job Description

STV is currently seeking a Water Resources / Drainage Engineer for our Transportation & Infrastructure division in our Jacksonville, FL office . This position provides an opportunity to work on a variety of public projects with a focus on transportation design.

Responsibilities include :

Preparing Stormwater Management designs, calculations, plans, and reports for Transportation Infrastructure.

Coordinating transportation and roadway drainage with various Roadway / Structures Design Groups.

Environmental Permitting through various state and federal entities.

Opportunities to play a role in project development with both existing and new clients.

Required Skills :

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.

Minimum of 8 years of drainage engineering experience.

Florida Professional Engineer (PE) License.

Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project experience.

Knowledge of roadway drainage systems, highway culverts, storm water management facilities, and floodplain modeling.

Experience with storm water and CAD software such as Bentley ORD, ICPR / StormWise, HEC-RAS, HY-8, and ASAD.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Ability to build strong relationships.

Excellent time management skills, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn.

Experience with developing FDOT Bridge Hydraulic Reports is preferred but not required.

Compensation Range :

$90,681.10 - $120,908.13
