Cochran's Ozark, Missouri headquarters'location, is looking for a Project Engineer with Water / Wastewater experience to join our team.
Position Summary :
We are seeking a Project Engineer with experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects to join our team. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in design and project coordination, holds an EIT certification , and is either actively pursuing or recently earned their Professional Engineer (PE) license .
Key Responsibilities :
- Support and lead water / wastewater engineering projects from planning and design through construction
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, design plans, and specifications
- Assist in project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination
- Conduct field investigations and site visits as needed
- Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff
- Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, and contractor inquiries during construction
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental EngineeringEIT certification requiredPE license preferred, or actively pursuing PE licensure3-6 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater design and constructionProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and / or other relevant design softwareStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamPreferred Experience :
Municipal or utility client experienceFamiliarity with permitting processes and regulatory agencies (e.g., EPA, DNR)Hydraulic modeling software (e.g., WaterCAD, SewerCAD)Benefits :
