We are looking for a vibrant and patient teacher to educate, care for, and inspire the young minds at our Learning Center. Using a variety of teaching methods, including artistic expression, educational play, and storytelling, you will teach children to identify shapes, colors, numbers, and letters, while providing them with foundational life skills and preparing them for the next stage of formal education.
To be successful as Teacher for Discovery Clubhouse, you should have the patience, compassion, and energy to successfully guide a class of young children, each of whom will have different needs, abilities, aptitudes, and emotions. The best candidate will also have excellent organizational skills, in order to plan curriculum and create reports on each child's progress. At Discovery Clubhouse we believe in teaching the whole child through play-based learning, and nurture their natural curiosity.
As an Early Educator for Discovery Clubhouse, you should be able to pass a federal background check and have a High School Diploma. Each individual will be required to complete 20 hours of paid training per year, as well as hold a current American Red Cross CPR (with hands on and infant training). We strongly believe that the educator never stops getting educated, so we encourage each of our teachers to obtain a CDA (Child Development Associate) this is equivalent to an Associates Degree; Utah has a program right now that offers this free to Child Care employees. Lastly, we love the families we have enrolled with us, we try to engage the parents / guardians any way we can in our program; this means a teacher must have excellent relationship and customer service skills to build rapport with each child's family members.
