Mobility Tech

The Mobility Tech provides routine mobilization of patients within their assigned departments which includes duties such as mobilizing patients to walk the hall assisting patients to a chair for meals utilizing lifts to assist bed-bound patients to a chair understanding / acquiring vital signs as needed and telemetry application.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists with basic patient needs such as filling water pitchers assisting to the restroom and setting up meal trays
• Provides routine mobilization of patients within their assigned departments.
• Mobilize patients to walk the hall assisting patients to a chair for meals utilizing lifts to assist bed-bound patients to a chair understanding / acquiring vital signs as needed and telemetry application.
• Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies / behaviors
• Audits and maintains all safe patient handling equipment and supplies reporting equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
• Contributes to the universal unit activities including but not limited to responding to call lights and telephones passing meal trays and transporting patients
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all members of the health care team
• Develops and maintains productive working relationships internally and externally by demonstrating accountability for actions enthusiasm motivation and commitment to patients and colleagues
• Documents activities performed in the medical record according to established procedures
• Performs assigned work in a timely and productive manner
• Provides patient care including assisting with daily patient ambulation unique to each patient's needs
