We are seeking a highly skilled Security Architect Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer. This role is crucial for assisting with the implementation, integration, and ongoing operation of security technologies. A major focus will be on developing automation integrations across a suite of security tools. The position requires proven experience in information security architecture and solution design to support the strategic planning, design, and secure implementation of both new and existing systems.
This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension.
Location and Schedule Primary Work Location : Columbia, SC. Schedule : This is a hybrid position with 25% remote work possibility. The specific hybrid schedule will be determined by the manager.
Required Qualifications :
- Expert understanding of Identity and Access Control systems, logging, and reporting systems.
- Expertise in automation development utilizing tools such as Python and Bash.
- Experience with Linux, Windows, network security protocols, and procedures.
- Experience supporting large IT environments and / or system deployments.
Education : A Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology or Information Security-related field OR an equivalent advanced security certification. Substitution : Eight years of relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Core Responsibilities :
Ensuring the proper implementation and configuration of Identity Management, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Active Directory, and related applications to support IT and security operations.Developing and implementing automation for various security and enterprise IT tools.Planning, designing, developing, and implementing enterprise security solutions that align with business objectives and risk tolerance.Designing, deploying, and managing countermeasures for known security threats, and developing preventative mitigation strategies for new threats to enterprise data and networks.Validating and measuring the consistent application of protective measures across the enterprise infrastructure and applications.Preferred Skills and Certifications :
SIEM Analysis and ReportingSecurity Frameworks (NIST, CSF, CJIS, IRS 1075, CMS MARS-E)Application Security (AppSec)Preferred Education / Certifications :
