Job Summary

The Aggregate Plant Superintendent oversees daily operations at one or more aggregate production sites, including pits and quarries. This role ensures production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations. The superintendent leads crews in the field, manages equipment and maintenance, and keeps operations running smoothly to meet material demand and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead by example and promote a strong safety culture across all operations.
• Supervise daily production activities to meet company targets for quality, tonnage, and cost control.
• Coordinate and monitor crushing, screening, and material handling operations to maintain steady production flow.
• Oversee plant and mobile equipment maintenance; schedule and plan repairs to minimize downtime.
• Inspect production areas regularly to ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and environmental standards.
• Train, coach, and develop crew members for safe and efficient operation of equipment.
• Work closely with dispatch, quality control, and trucking teams to meet delivery and quality requirements.
• Track production data, inventories, and equipment hours; prepare reports as required.
• Assist with planning and budgeting for labor, materials, and equipment needs.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain good working relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory personnel.
