The Project Intelligence & Sales Development Coordinator plays a critical role in building and maintaining the company’s project pipeline. This position focuses on prospecting, project research, and CRM data integrity to support the sales team in creating buying and selling opportunities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and skilled at turning raw project information into actionable sales leads.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Outreach
- Conduct cold calls and send outbound emails to generate initial interest.
- Identify and qualify new project opportunities for buying and selling activities.
- Maintain a consistent cadence of outreach to support pipeline development.
CRM Ownership & Data Management
Ensure all project data, communications, and activities live inside the CRM.Keep project pages organized, complete, and up to date.Fill in missing project information through research and direct outreach.Log all communication and maintain detailed notes for each project.Set tasks, reminders, and follow-up schedules to keep deals moving forward.Project Research & Evaluation
Use available platforms, databases, and public resources to identify ongoing and upcoming construction projects.Evaluate projects for potential buying or selling opportunities based on company scope of work.Locate and document key points of contact for each project (owners, GCs, subcontractors, etc.). ⸻Collaboration With Sales Team
Work closely with Account Managers to connect relevant project contacts.Hand off qualified opportunities to the sales team with complete project context.Generate project-based opportunities for the company to buy or sell transportation services. ⸻Project Lifecycle Tracking
Track start dates, end dates, and phase progression for every assigned project.Conduct routine check-ins to stay current on changes or updates.Update project timelines, scope details, and status changes in real time.Additional Functions
Conduct targeted research on new markets to uncover emerging opportunities.Perform regional prospecting aligned with company growth goals.Complete deep-dive account research to strengthen understanding of customers and prospects. ⸻Qualifications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Comfortable with cold calling and outbound email prospecting.Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).Ability to research independently and synthesize information quickly.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Prior experience in logistics, construction, transportation, or sales is a plus but not required.
